Tea / Tea / Black Tea / Pure Origin / Darjeeling Yanki SFTGFOP1, 1st flush 2022
In the Mirik Valley, a group of approximately 60 small tea growers has founded the Darjeeling Orthodox Small Tea Growers Welfare Society, with the goal of producing quality teas as well as improving the quality of life of themselves and their families by demanding a fairer rate for their harvests and consequently for the teas they produce. They follow traditional farming practices, using natural methods that preserve soil health and the teas are produced by tea maker Yankhu Tamang, founder of the Society and “soul” of the whole venture.
The tea is light and refreshing with the characteristic aromas of a first flush Darjeeling. The slightly oxidized whole leaves, with numerous silver tips, yield a light green liquor with floral aromas accompanied by underlining lemon and fresh almond notes.

Tea Route
Darjeeling Darjeeling, located in the shadow of the Himalayas, produces some of the best Indian teas. They are known as the “Champagne of teas” because of the highly aromatic, fruity and slightly tart character they acquire from the altitude -gardens rise as high as 2500m- the long hours of sunshine during the day and low temperatures during the night.
