This unique tea will win you over with its all-natural character and the warmth of its homemade nature. Its grey-green twisted leaves are collected from wild tea trees that are grown in the Ha Giang region of northern Vietnam by the H'mong people. It offers a brew with a strong mineral and character and notes of the sea, which are attributed to the region’s terroir, and especially to the high pH of the soil in the region, the altitude and the traditional processing of the leaves. Its warm, smoked notes become immediately apparent, since it is dried in cast iron pans over a wood fire. It also has a certain sweetness to it, like that of freshly-baked bread or caramel butter.
