Kukicha, or twig tea, is a blend of leaves, stalks and stems, resulting in a tea with low caffeine content and sweet taste. Our Kukicha is made from organic tea plants of the Yabukita variety grown in the Kagoshima area and harvested in the Spring. The dry leaves, a beautiful mixture of yellow stalks and carefully processed sencha leaves, develop well-balanced butter and grassy aromas, while the wet leaves release notes of lemon and white-flesh peach peel. The liquor produced is cloudy and rich with a bitter-sweet tastiness. If you do not care for the bitterness, reduce seeping time. Kukicha is suitable for more than one infusion, and is one of the varieties that yield superior iced tea
