Gray cast iron teapot Yoho 0,8ml with a stainless steel filter.
The Wazuku teapots are manufactured in Yamagata, Japan by a company founded in 1604 and now managed by the 15th generation of the same family. Wazuku is the term for a grade of iron of the highest quality and purity. Therefore the weight of the teapots is also on average 25% lighter than other cast iron teapots.
How to use and care for your cast iron teapot:
1. Before using for the first time, rinse thoroughly with hot water and immediately wipe dry with a towel.
2. Never place on an open flame or stove as this might cause the internal enamel coating to crack. The water must always be heated separately.
3. Never use dishwashing detergent to clean your teapot, nor a rough sponge, but only plain warm water. Avoid contact with salt and oil.
